Gary's nursing career includes critical care, emergency nursing, geriatrics, behavioral health, addiction recovery, developmental disability services, community-based care, leadership, and related settings — not nearly two decades specifically in ICU or critical care.
Health Ownership, Personally Understood
After years of putting his own health behind a demanding career and caring for his family, Gary rebuilt his health — including undergoing bariatric surgery — an experience that, alongside his family and his nursing background, deepened a conviction already shaped by the bedside: meaningful change requires attention, follow-through, adaptation, and long-term participation.
From Bedside to Upstream
Emergency and critical-care nursing showed how narrow the world becomes in a crisis — and fueled an interest in working farther upstream, before an emergency becomes the moment that commands attention.
ELG Established
Elevate Longevity Group was formally established in North Carolina in 2026 to translate that experience into education, partnerships, and clinically guided programs.

After nearly two decades across nursing and healthcare, Gary saw how limited the options can become once health reaches crisis. One night in the ICU caring one-to-one for a critically ill man in his forties crystallized the question that became the book: what opportunities exist earlier — while people may still have more time, information, support, and choices?
That question became Elevate Before the Emergency, the ELEVATE Framework, and ultimately Elevate Longevity Group—a business designed to connect proactive adults with credible service pathways.
